As 2015 comes to an end, I look back at 15 interesting or awesome things I've learned.
1.Trader Joes has a Ginger Appreciation Day!
2. My mom Isn't the only one with embarrassing pictures of me. A friend of mine sent this to my husband and I, via Snapchat.
3. How to fix a T.v. I'm pretty sure you can learn anything on YouTube.
Success!
4. This year, memes hit really close to home.
6. American food is getting more disgusting by the day.
7. The importance of doing the things you love. I came across some old cartoons that I had drawn. I rarely draw or paint anymore. Sometimes with the business of life, we don't make time for doing the things we love. Do it, and you will be a happier person.
8. How to date my husband. I'm serious, in 7 years of parenting, we only had 1 date on our anniversary of 2013. This year we both learned how important it was.
9. Ipsy, Ipsy, Ipsy! Makeup sent to my door in an adorable bag for $10/month? TAKE MY MONEY!
10. My apps have personality?
11. Introducing my daughter to some of my childhood favorites! Doug, Clarissa Explains it all, and Where's Waldo! The downside? Her response to Doug: "I'd rather watch a flower grow."
12. Helen, GA I love this little German town! By far the best coffee (Hot and Sweet coffee co.) Delicious German baked goods, a waterfall and beach in the same mountain (what?), and the sweet locals.
13. To watch shows I purposely passed growing up. One tree hill, Grey's Anatomy (currently on season 4), and Friday Night Lights! My all time favorite!
14. Learning to like soccer/futbol. I decided to try to watch something my husband really loved (like I did when we first got together.) It turns out that I actually really enjoy it and screaming at the referees...and of course the hilarious (translated) memes from the Copa America cup.
15. Important life lessons, and applying them.
The biggest thing I learned in 2015, was that no matter what is going on, if you have God, you can get through anything. December alone was full of car trouble and family hospital visits (8 to be exact), including my daughter having a 5 day fever and going to the ER Christmas night, and me cutting my finger yesterday and needing 3 stitches. The important thing is that things happen. Things could always be worse. With God at your side you can make it through with a grateful heart!
See you in 2016!
